The 1874 East Sea League was the inaugural and only season of the East Sea League, a failed attempt at a soccer league in Duwamish. It began on 4 April 1874 and its last match was played on 19 April 1874, a day before the league folded. The Dawson Ducks were declared champions, with 3 wins and no loses or draws, while Ducks player John Moore was league top scorer with 4 goals in 3 matches. The season was the first professional competition for soccer clubs in Duwamish and was scheduled to end in October after 24 total matches. The lessons from the failure of the East Sea League were taken into consideration when the Duwamish Soccer League was established.
